I want to get my oomph back!

4th May 2018
A four-day weekend is approaching!
Tiles are advancing up
the walls slowly...

I opened a letter from the consultant this morning and it took the wind out of my sails somewhat. I had the horrible MRI only two days ago and I had brunch with some new MSers yesterday and had a conversation about someone else's breast cancer experience. Even that sounds like less than mine has been and she has had surgery... The thing that hit me today was the grouping of words and 'high grade' DCIS stuck out. It looks like they caught it early but I don't have months or years to decide to do something. I think I will go back to be told its happening as soon as it can be.
And all this while the government plays catchup with the hundreds of thousands of ladies the NHS has failed to contact in the last couple of years...
I have lots of jobs in the house to finish, lots of bulbs and plants to get planting, and I just feel empty and exhausted before I even start. Now is not the time to have an MS relapse! But I can't walk into any room at the moment and find 'tidy' or 'calm', its a tip everywhere!
The dishwasher is beeping at me and I feel like shouting at it... Ken Bruce is burbling on the radio and I don't want to hear it. Pity party in full swing!
And it's not raining, the sun's out and I could go and get dirty in the soil, and nothing wants to move. Oh dear.

PS I tiled a couple of rows YAY Me!
We went out to vote yesterday.
Excuse for us to eat cake!

April Fools?

1st April 2018
All happening at once - Easter to April Fools?
Bulbs promising colour...

Is anyone feel like this year has all been happening at once but very little seems to be achieved? Our extension is finished but it's not, as so much needs to be actually finished to be able to use it.
Easter weekend has supplied days off to paint and tidy and move things around.
But that didn't involve me spending any time in the garden but even I can see the efforts I made last year poking their heads up and even the daffodils are a little less predominant with tulips, anemones, alliums and irises. all things I bought at Gardeners World last year from the Dutch growers.
I've started looking at what I can do for this year to feature on the blog, and have been told on my Facebook page about a few requests.
Last years daffodils... that bed has changed
too but it has a fish tank propped up in it...
This features a few less
full-size daffodils than in previous years.
