Open Gardens happening soon in LGC

3rd June 2018
Seriously I missed some crackers yesterday...

I have been left to my own devices this morning again and its astonishing how different I feel. I've strimmed the grass, hung out some washing and spotted a few stunners and smelt a few cracking roses, yes, they really smell glorious!

My moods are obviously all over the place at the moment but I've spotted a few garden events happening close by that I am seriously going to mark on the calendar. Letchworth Open Gardens is coming up and I'd like to see if any pals fancy a wander. My girls don't have the stamina for more than three gardens if I'm honest, so I am now looking to friends to accompany me.
My own garden is far from show standard but I have bits I am very pleased with. That huge bed with sleepers is still throwing up beauties, and my hostas haven't been munched. One satisfied Slugless purchase here.
And much to my husband's chagrin, those two silver birches I bought for under a fiver seem to be happily taking root. I shall have shady patches. I am still scouring free or recycled FB sites for unwanted paving or slabs but its all gone too quick or load it yourself and I am not fit enough to do that myself currently. We are not in a hurry, I keep telling myself.
silver birch?
